Don't download IE 9.0 if you use blogger

I made such a HUGE mistake when I downloaded IE 9.0 today. Although the look and feel is familiar, there are several drawbacks that have left me pulling out my hair so if you use blogger DO NOT DOWNLOAD IE 9.0.

The two issues I noticed immediately are I can't leave a comment on other people's blogs. ARRGH!, and I can't access the "Stats" page on blogger. Earlier today I fired off repeated tweets to IE and Blogger but to no avail. Adding insult to injury, I can't seem to uninstall IE 9.0 so I'm sort of stuck until this bug is fixed. Until then, I'll be using FireFox... probably not what Microsoft had intended when they launched IE 9.0.

I use Google Chrome and absolutely love it. I gave up on I.E. a long time ago and never looked back.

Sure you can uninstall IE9, and you do it by doing a System Restore. Type System Restore into your Windows searchbox and then leftclick on System Restore. Simply choose a restore point that occurred when you installed IE9, and IE8 will be reinstalled.

Sure you can uninstall IE9. Search for System Restore in your Windows searchbox, and then leftclick on System Restore. Coose the restore point that was created when you first installed IE8, and in a few minutes IE8 will be back as good as new. IE9 is garbage, plain and simple.

What is more interesting about IE9 is that it won't run on Windows XP. It's Vista and 7 only.

What this effectively means is that a lot of people will be abandoning MS operating systems in the future.

I recall reading that you can uninstall IE9 and go back to IE8. Just google it.

Thanks for sharing. I have actually not even opened IE in several years. I am a Mozilla Firefox all the way baby!

I noticed that on Wednesday night. I couldn't leave comments on anyone's Blogger blog but I drew the line when I couldn't online shop. That is unforgivable.

Good advice, thanks. I like the feel and the speed of chrome, plus it works great with blogger.

Dump IE for Firefox, Dump Blogger for WordPress. You will be much happier all the way around.

I downloaded IE9 when it was just out and it was the most stupid thing to do. Even Gmail doesn't works like it should be.

For work I use Firefox, also on the same machine.
