A march on Washington

John Stewart and Steven Colbert have announced they will hold rival marches in Washington D.C. on October 30th. This is part satire / part politics coming on the heels of recent political gatherings on the Mall in D.C. by the Tea Party and others. Falling just days before national elections in November, it is interesting to see what kind of attention these two Comedy Central studs receive. I for one am more than a bit tempted to head to D.C.

I hope they have a huge turnout. Being a Canadian, I am keenly interested to see if the silent majority of US citizens will start to show their displeasure at all the nonsense from the extreme right, extreme left and the just total bizarre.

What a great idea. I should have seen that coming from those two! :)
And you're right. It's just that much more tempting to go knowing that they are behind this rally!
I hope they have a huge turnout for this event.

Ha! I hope they bring Washington to its knees! I'm so tired of watching my fellow Americans allowing themselves to become so gullible and take their opinions from the likes of Glen Beck. The problem is that people don't READ the facts anymore...they just want someone (anyone) to hand-feed them their opinion...all in the name of religion - which has NO PLACE in politics.

The Tea Party is nothing but Jim Crow all over again. RACIST, RACIST, RACIST!

What time does the bus leave for Washington?

I hope to be there too. I don't know which I'd go to though as both are sure to be an absolute hoot!
